Club at Present

The Club makes a sizeable contribution to the aviation industry even now and offers various training courses which have been approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation of the Government of India, and also in line with the Federation of Aeronautical International. At present, the club has a fleet of one Pushpak and two Cessna airplanes flights at short notice. The latter service would be extended to individuals or companies at a moderate cost.

The civil aviation industry in India is expanding as much as 25% annually increasing the demand on quality trained ground personnel, pilots and engineers for its smooth and safe operation. Bearing in mind that pilots play a primary role in the operation, the Gujarat Flying Club has designed courses for SPL, PPL and CPL with specialized ground training which the aspiring young pilots have to be initiated in before they are allowed into the cockpit of the training aircraft. These are conducted at the newly established Gujarat Flying Club School.

We use the latest teaching mediums including computerized training and video instruction, and the School is equipped with a substantial collection of books, Best Trainee pilot trophy, instituted by shri K. D. shah.
